One of the great things about having a school in Djibouti is that no one is too far away from a beach! EECL has at least one beach outing a year, for the students to enjoy themselves, to meet people they may never have met before, and practice their English in a more relaxed environment. This year was no different as they played volleyball, chatted and had a great time!
For those students who spend all of their time in books, learning pronunciations from dictionaries and practicing their grammar, having days like this allows for conversation to be much more natural and genuine. The teachers love getting to know the students, as well as seeing their English improve. As we near Christmas, who does not love a hot day at the beach?!
