Ecole Emmanuel is open! After closing in January 2024, moving to the City of Ali Sabieh, and waiting all summer, the school officially opened on 21st September 2024.
The grand opening started at 10am. Local dignitaries, community members, and neighbours were all invited. The school director spoke briefly, addressing the group in English with translations, before giving a tour of the new building.
The gathering was modest, but enthusiastic. The director and librarian were able to introduce the schedule for the semester as well as introduce the students to the book collection. After the summer, 38 new books were added to the collection including biographies of influential world leaders as well as motivational books, which are quite popular amongst the library members.

The library is open Saturday to Thursday mornings from 8.30am to 12.00pm. Classes started Sunday the 22nd.
There are two different conversation classes running Monday nights for everyone and Wednesday nights for advanced English speakers.
The first classes have been well attended with many new students getting introduced to the school and practicing their English.

Book Club started on Saturday, September 28th in the evening.
The structured grammar classes are happening on Sunday and Tuesday afternoons.
