Computer Software

Through a chance encounter an MMR team member discovered that a large UK supermarket changed all its laptops every three years and was willing to donate the old laptops to charities.  Four were acquired so they could be used in computer classes at EELC.

All software had been removed but another contact knew that Windows operating systems and Microsoft packages were available to approved charities at considerable discounts.  So it proved.

It took a few weeks to get KT registered but then a link to the software packages was provided and forwarded to MMR.

That was £132 well spent!

In due course we will report how the computer classes go.

We suspect it will not be long before another supply of laptops and software will be needed!
