Pedro News 4 – April

Entry 1

You know, I’m not trying to brag, but a car is a kind of a blessing. I am a blessing! Everyone says how grateful they are for me, and it’s kind of true. I mean, who else can carry all the people heading out to the gardens, multiple times a week? And not just the workers or the local workers, but also friends and family members. People needing to catch a ride to the town hop on as we leave the garden. Ladies wanting to gather sticks for fires join in the town and guess who can carry all the sticks back. I even have space to help deliver some vegetables from the gardens. It’s kind of nice to have a car and let’s just say I’m always happy to oblige. I’m a crucial member of the team!

Entry 2

You know, I keep hearing rumours that they are trying to replace me with a newer version that needs less repairs, but I’m not so sure it’s true. Sure, I have had to have repairs done almost every other month and occasionally my engine makes random noises. And every once in a while, the brakes don’t quite work. But it was only once that a huge chunk of metal just fell off the car; that can’t be held against me! I am over 20 years old!

Besides, I don’t think they are going to get rid of me. They are too attached. Look, they just made me new seat covers! I look snazzy with my suit. And I have to say, the colours suit me. And they are pretty cool in another sense, protecting my seats from all the sweat and the passengers from the hot leather. Practical and stylish!

I’m looking forward to what my next upgrade might look like. Just as soon as I get out of the auto repair shop!
