Kerith Trust (KT) is a charity, registered with the Charity Commissioners in 2017, Charity Number 1174967, that has been developed to support those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage in Djibouti and other parts of the world.
This will be achieved by making efforts to work towards:
- The improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities.
- The promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration.
The promotion for the benefit of the public of urban or rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation is to be by all or any of the following means:
- The relief of unemployment.
- The advancement of education and training.
- The provision of recreational facilities for the public at large or those who by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances, have need of such facilities.
- The provision of public health facilities and childcare and other such means.
These are very broad aims that can cover future developments but for now KT is concentrating on the evident needs in the country of Djibouti and have chosen to meet those needs in partnership with MMR. KT has been approved by MMR as its agent in the UK, to promote its work and support it in any possible way but particularly in raising funds to enable MMR to finance its projects.
